What are cannabinoids?2020-04-07T15:51:02+02:00

Cannabinoids are a diverse class of chemical compounds that occur naturally in the human body (endocannabinoids) and cannabis plants (phytocannabinoids), and interactions with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) trigger various physiological actions. Among the 500 or so natural components in cannabis — more than 100 are classified as phytocannabinoids. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the best-known compound due to its psychoactive qualities, while cannabidiol (CBD) appears to play the most significant role in the plant’s medicinal benefits.

How does CBD work?2020-04-07T15:50:53+02:00

CBD’s effects are a result of its interaction with the endocannabinoid system. CBD impacts the ECS indirectly, most often through activation of outside receptors and interaction with enzymes.

What is hemp seed oil?2020-04-07T15:50:45+02:00

Hemp seed oil is distinct from CBD oil. While CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant’s flowers, hemp seed oil is produced by pressing the plant’s seeds. Hemp seed oil is similar to other seed oils such as corn oil and sesame oil. Hemp seed oil has its own benefits, but it does not contain cannabinoids such as CBD and thus shares none of the medical effects of CBD and cannabis oils.

What is the difference between CBD and hemp?2020-04-07T15:50:40+02:00

Hemp is a variety of cannabis that is grown for food and fibers. CBD is a molecular compound found in the plant’s extracts. Outsider Labs’ CBD is produced from a mixture of landrace cannabis and hemp, depending on the relative CBD concentrations in each individual harvest.

Is your product safe?2020-04-07T14:07:41+02:00

There are no known incidences of illness caused by consumption of CBD oil. Also, all Outsider Labs products undergo rigorous testing to guarantee they are free of any potential contaminants, and adhere to safety standards for health supplements.

What is CBD used for?2020-04-07T14:08:17+02:00

Many people use CBD to promote a state known as homeostasis, the body’s natural tendency to maintain a healthy balance in all its systems. Cannabinoids are an integral part of the human body’s ability to regulate and balance a wide variety of physiological systems. CBD is also used by some for specific purposes such as supporting a good night’s rest or maintaining well-functioning joints.

Does your product contain THC?2020-04-07T14:08:45+02:00

Why are your products so affordable compared to imported ones?2020-04-07T14:09:48+02:00

We here at Outsider Labs have committed ourselves to the pursuit of natural medicine not for profit, but to help change lives for the better at rates which don’t break the bank. Can your products cure/treat my condition?2020-04-07T14:10:23+02:00

CBD oil has not been approved by the FDA in the treatment of any conditions aside from particular seizure disorders. What does broad spectrum mean?2020-04-07T14:11:22+02:00

The term broad spectrum refers to CBD oil products that contain a combination of cannabinoids, terpenes and other beneficial compounds found in hemp. While many CBD oil products are made using CBD isolate, Outsider Labs broad spectrum oils maintain concentrations of the beneficial compounds that are found in the original hemp plant. Our broad spectrum products contain no detectable THC, as shown on our lab reports.

Is broad spectrum CBD oil psychoactive?2020-04-07T14:11:50+02:00

Will I feel any effects from using CBD products?2020-04-07T14:12:18+02:00

Some of the effects reported by CBD oil users include improved mood, restful sleep, increased attention span, and focus as well as others. However, organic compounds such as CBD can produce different effects in different people. So be mindful that individual results may vary.

Can I overdose on CBD?2020-04-07T14:13:01+02:00

CBD is completely non-toxic, and there exists no record of any overdoses. Theoretically it would be possible, but you’d have to ingest about thirty large bottles of Extra Strength CannaOil to even come near the point of an overdose – something which is practically impossible to do.

What are the benefits of taking broad spectrum CBD products?2020-04-07T14:13:39+02:00

The benefits of broad spectrum products are usually greater than the benefits provided by others, such as those containing just CBD isolate. This is due to what’s known as the entourage effect. The entourage effect occurs when compounds in the hemp plant – including cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids – work together to produce even greater effects than just CBD alone. All Outsider Labs products contain broad spectrum CBD oil.

What are terpenes?2020-04-07T14:14:16+02:00

Terpenes are a class of volatile hydrocarbon compounds produced in the flower clusters of the cannabis plant. Terpenes are what give cannabis its distinct aromas and have been utilized by humans for millennia in aromatherapy. Terpenes are recognized as safe for human consumption and are used in a wide variety of food and cosmetic products.

How much CBD is in your products?2020-04-07T14:14:46+02:00

They should be stored in airtight containers either in the refrigerator or in a cool place away from direct sunlight. What is the endocannabinoid system?2020-04-07T15:46:35+02:00

The human endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a system of neurotransmitters and cell membrane receptors — responsible for regulating a wide array of physical and cognitive processes like pain, appetite, mood, memory, and even fertility. Neurotransmitters such as endocannabinoids are produced by the central nervous system and interact with cannabinoid receptors on cell membranes to adjust physiological processes at a cellular level.

What is the entourage effect?2020-04-07T15:47:03+02:00

Broad spectrum CBD oil — such as that used in Outsider Labs products — contains a variety of cannabinoids and terpenes as well as other beneficial compounds. Each of the compounds has particular effects on the human body. Because terpenes can affect how the body responds to cannabinoids, the combined effect is often greater than the sum of the individual effects. The overall effect produced is known as the entourage effect. Non-broad or full spectrum products do not have the benefit of the entourage effect and are therefore not recommended.

Is CBD water soluble?2020-04-07T15:47:30+02:00

In its natural state, CBD oil is not water soluble. It can be made water soluble without changing the molecular structure through nano-particle emulsion, which utilizes ultrasound to break the CBD up into microscopic droplets.

How do I choose a product that is right for me?2020-04-07T15:47:57+02:00

The ideal method for taking CBD depends on the reason for which it’s being taken as well as your preference for its format. If using CBD oil for general wellness, tinctures or capsules are recommended.

How does your product differ from others?2020-07-03T15:02:04+02:00

Outsider Labs products are specifically developed for high potency and easy absorption. All of our products contain THC-free, broad spectrum CBD oil, meaning that you still get the entourage effect and the benefits of all the other terpenes present in the plant.

Our CBD oil is extracted using a gentle process that does not involve harsh solvents that degrade beneficial compounds. We use only the finest available ingredients in our products and make sure they’re organic whenever possible.
